Wondering About Something Naruto-Related....

So yeah... I've been wondering for some time now about this. In a lot of fanfictions you read about how Sasuke comes back to Konohagakure. So I was wondering, does he really? I already know that he kills Orochimaru, (evil laughter), but I just wondered about the other. Oh well, if you know please tell me!
